The photos below are of the big reunion on the Farm in Oregon. We reunited with some of Ben's cousins after 15 years! Too long and the reunion went too fast! We had so much fun at the down home 4th of July show on the high school field. We enjoyed some Gospel music from a local family and our cousin Rebekah sang the national anthem beautifully! We were all so proud! It was a special time especially for Grandpa, the patriarch of the family, and Grandma to have almost all of their grandchildren and great-grandchildren together.
As you can see, I haven't figured this blog thing out! Not sure when to squeeze it into the schedule, but I'll do the best I can for our 1 follower....LOL! I sure enjoy following the blogs of all the people I "follow." They all do an amazing job! It's inspiring to me!

Woodsley's Home
We only sponsored this precious little boy for just under two years. We finally received news in early March from Compassion Intl. that Woodsley had indeed died in the Haiti earthquake. We had been praying for him for so long that I really believed the lady was going to tell me he was alive. She couldn't tell me any details, including whether or not his parents were alive or any relatives for that matter. However, she was able to assure me that they had record of Woodsley indeed making a "profession of faith" in Jesus at the Compassion center. I bawled and cried for at least an hour in the passenger seat as we headed home from Oregon. A few days later, I was sweeping and the tears came again. I was thinking, "Why Lord? This 7 year old sweet little boy, who had hardly had anything." And then He spoke to my heart telling me, "He had everything, he had me. And now my child is finally home with me,forever." No more poverty, no more tears, no more pain, no more dying....and I started to wonder what would Woodsley's life have been like in Haiti had God allowed him to survive? Amazingly, in our loving Father's sovereign plan, He knew Woodsley's time was short, brought him to a Compassion center where Woodsley heard about a Savior who loved him, gave his life to Jesus, and then in His great love and compassion for Woodsley, took him home. What a humbling and amazing gift it is to know that in a small way, our awesome God used this little Tribe to share His love with a precious boy we had never even met. Woodsley, you beat us home, buddy, but we look forward to the day we will meet you face to face.

Haiti
I am restless about Haiti. We've been praying for little 6 year old Woodsley whom we sponser w/ Compassion. Is he wandering the streets alone? Did he survive? Did his parents survive? Has he been abused? Does he have food to eat? My mind wanders and once again I have to release him to Jesus. Maybe he is finally home with Jesus and has been spared much pain. We wait every day hoping to hear. Woodsley is just one of thousands...human suffering, particularly children suffering tears me up. I'm praying the Lord will do anything it takes to take our family out of this protective American bubble. Don't get me wrong, I'm so grateful and thankful for our freedoms and this country, but Lord please use this little Tribe to bring glory to you by reaching out to those in need in the name of Jesus.
