Adoption Update #2-Logged-In!

This one is brief.  I promise.

As some of you know, we had hoped our dossier would be "logged-in" with China by October 22nd.   However, the date came and went with our paperwork still in limbo land.  And, much to our joyful surprise?   It was no big deal.  Our agency filed for an extension and we received notice yesterday that our dossier has FINALLY been logged-in as of 11/5.  We don't know what that means either, except to say that our journey to Jude is moving forward!  Now we'll wait to receive an official "yay" or "nay," aka: LSC-Letter Seeking Confirmation, from China.  Once that happens, there are a few more immigration hoops and hurdles to pass through before they tell us we can travel.   We're most likely looking at 3 to 6 months, so we've been told.  Of course we're praying it's sooner, rather than later!   Whenever it is, God's timing is perfect and we trust Him.

We've also been blessed to receive some recent photos of our precious gift from God.

The Light Shines in the Darkness

This year Mom took the girls trick-or-treating while Dad and Sören were elk hunting up in the mountains. Our family doesn't really like Halloween's origin and the dark stuff that goes with it, but we (the kids) like trick-or-treating, of course!   We decided to shine the Light in the darkness and do "reverse trick-or-treating."  We attached a piece of candy on Gospel tracks and handed them out at every house after they handed us candy. We reused some of the candy we got for the tracks and so on!  All the people were very surprised and gladly accepted our little gift.  We had prayed before that God would soften the hearts of those who read them. It was a really neat opportunity to share God's everlasting love with those who may have had never heard about Jesus before!  We noticed several people reading it in their doorway as we left.

As for our costumes: Lillian was gipsy, Esther was Pocahontas, and I was Granny Grace.

I decided to add a photo Dad sent us. It was Sören's first time hunting and he had a blast. They didn't bring home an elk this time, but hopefully they'll get one next year!
