This summer was EPIC. Since we finished most of our school at the end of April, we got started with it early. We had a great few months filled with great weather, great places, and great people.
Right after my last day of school I got to go with my homeschool co-op class to Orcas Island to our teacher's family cabin for a night. So fun!!

In early May, Mom, Lillian, and I went with a group from our church down to a Hillsong United (and Lauren Daigle) concert. WOW. What a great experience!!!

At the end of May we headed down to Seattle for a baseball game with Ranger John and Maria, Ranger Bryce, and Ranger Bill.

In early June I had my 15th birthday and Mom and Dad threw together a movie night and sundaes with a bunch of friends out in one of the park shelters. We watched the newest Star Wars with a projector and sheet.
On July 1st we had our exchange student from China, 15 year-old Alice come stay with us for a few weeks. She was so great and was a blessing to have around. We were sad to see her go, but its nice to still be able to keep in touch via email.
While Alice was here we celebrated Independence Day with our annual potluck. The weather started out overcast but turned out to be sunny and blue sky, clear enough for fireworks that night.
In mid-July Lillian went with her middle school youth group to the mountains for a five day summer camp. She had a lot of fun and said that this was her top summer highlight.
Soren had a great year of baseball, and made the all-star team! His number this year was #5 again and his main position was second base.

Not only did Soren have a blast with baseball this year, but at the end of July, he celebrated double digits!!

Can't believe he's 10!!
In August I made the trek up to Whistler BC for an almost week long camp with my church high school youth group. What a week!
Thrilled to be at the site of the 2010 Winter Olympics!

While I was at Whistler, the rest of my family was down at Refreshed Family Camp for the second year with a bunch of families from church. Having to choose between the two camps was a hard decision for me!
Our summer wrapped up with a 10 day road trip in mid August to Oregon. We made a lot of stops, including our friends' new farm in central Washington, Bend, Crater Lake, and a mini family reunion at Eeott and Papa's farm for a few days. It was fun to visit Bend and camp at LaPine State Park where my dad used to work when I was a baby. When we left 14 years ago we hadn't been back since, so it was especially fun to watch my parents pose as tourists in our old town expressing how much it has changed over the years. ;) At Eeott and Papa's, we were reunited with a bunch of my dad's side of the family, including my aunt, uncle, and cousins who we hadn't seen for two and a half years. My cousin Jake came down from Washington too with his wife Carlie and their kids Roman and Bailey. We had such a great time!
Below are three videos I made full of pictures and videos from out trip. Because he turned 10, Soren got to stay at the farm an extra week and a half or so, and then Eeott and Papa drove him home, but made stops on their way including going to a Ducks football game and a Mariners game! (In the third video at the beginning he is on a scavenger hunt Eeott made because it was a surprise.)

Overall, we had an amazing summer and many memories were made that will always be remembered!
