In my attempt to get "caught up," I'm going to back track to the beginning of the year! We enjoyed a week of snow in January. When it snows here, the park shuts down and that means the rangers stay home from work, and we have a beautiful winter wonderland all to ourselves! I remember 3 years ago when it snowed 18in. (extremely RARE here at sea level) and I was super prego with Esther, I snow-shoed out the the pier and couldn't believe it! It was so much fun.
The kids cut out snow flakes a week earlier, hoping for snow and then it came!
Snowman Pancakes, of course!
So beautiful!
Home Sweet Home!
Not much snow yet, but we took a walk on the pier with the Cookseys, our wonderful neighbors and friends!
Walking through a field of white with Daddy.
Soren said he was looking for cougars. He continues to look even though he's been told many times there are no cougars on the island!
Pals-Rose and Esther playing in the "snow" box.
I don't know who could LOVE snow more than Grace!
Eden and Lillian LOVE to be together!
Soren and Miriam are inseparable
Esther didn't look too happy after this crash with Daddy
Later, we went to Grampy's neighborhood for some sledding. Nice view, huh?
Grampy and Soren landed in the ditch!
Grace caught some serious "air!"
Moms can have fun too!
Earlier the girls had done some baking. We arrived home, cold and tired...ready for some pie! Grace made the crust and Lillian made the apple filling...
...and we sat by the fire and filled up our bellies!
Grace and her pal Gina (thought these were above the food/fire photo--oops!)
Livy and Lilly...dear friends!
